Big ups to my XXL family for putting Nicki Minaj and Drake on the cover together. I wonder if any other publication tried to make it happen before they did. It’s a no-brainer. The Young Money standouts are presently two of the hottest MCs in the game right now. With Drake finally dropping Thank Me Later May 25 and Minaj recently premiering “Massive Attack” and gearing up for a third quarter release, this cover has impeccable timing.

XXL Editor-In-Chief Vanessa Satten sat down with Nicki for a Q&A while editor-at-large Benjamin Meadows-Ingram chronicles Drizzy’s road to stardom. The issue also features an investigative story on the void of the female MC and the death of the New York rap star. Sounds like something I wanna read.
