Rapper Jaguar recently dropped his bad boy façade and stepped into a philanthropic role where he and a couple of his celebrity friends visited a children’s home in Dandora on Saturday. Jaguar, the Tanzanian singer JI and Reffigah took food valued at Sh20,000 to El Toto Children’s Centre, a Dandora based home.
The children, who spend their days at the centre belong to parents who work all day at the dumpsite. The centre provides a play ground – away from the dangerous dumpsite – the children receive meals and the opportunity to study.
This is the rappers first public act of charity. JI, whose real name is Juma Issa, is known for the bongo-flavor song 'Kidato Kimoja'. He hooked up with Jaguar after his Friday show at the Tankard, Dagoretti Corner and will be leaving today to return home to Dar es Salaam.
