DMX Sentenced to Six Months in Jail

Due to five separate drug-related probation violations, troubled rapper DMX (born Earl Simmons) has been sentenced to six months in jail and has already begun serving time.

Though Simmons already started his sentence, VH1's "Celebrity Rehab" could prevent him from spending the next six months in jail.

According to TMZ.com, a representative from the Pasadena Recovery Center issued a letter to the judge from Dr. Drew Pinsky, who is requesting permission to treat Simmons at his facility. No word on whether the request has been approved.
