Collo on a road safety video

The Sio Lazima Road Safety theme song was shot on Sunday by rapper Collo and singer Ulopa.

The video titled 'No More shows in gory', detail the bloody scene of a road accident, its aim is to stop drink driving as well as create a culture of safety on the road. Actress Pierra Makena who is the Road Safety ambassador took a back seat during the video shoot but put on her director/producer hat on set at the Film Studios. “The video will show the basic accident scene, one where simple blunders like not putting on the safety belt and drink driving cause the loss of life,” Pierra said.

Initially the rap trio, P Unit was supposed to shoot the video that now stars Collo and Ulopa. There was word that, they had pulled out completely due to finincial disagreements. Pierra however, denied the claims. “We are still working with them but on another part of the project,” she said, “What is there is that Collo and Ulopa showed interest and willingness to support the cause at no pay whatsoever.”

The final part of the video will be shot at the former K2 Klub House today evening. Some of the celebrities who also starred in the video include top special effects makeup artist Habel, Big Pin, Jaguar, Shimma and Mimmo. Private companies that showed interest in the project include G4S, St John’s, City Council and Pelican Signs.
