Marco Rubio slams Snoop Dogg for ‘assassinating’ President Trump in music video

Washed up rapper Snoop Dogg is facing a whirlwind of criticism for “assassinating” a President Trump look-a-like in his latest music video.

In the music video for “Lavender”, Snoop points a .38 caliber revolver at the clown’s head and pulls the trigger. The clown looks suspiciously like President Trump in a blond wig.
Snoop — who hasn’t had a hit song in years — raps “The ban that this motherfucker tried to put up/ him winning the presidency/ police being able to kill motherfuckers and get away with it/ It’s a lot of clown shit going on”.
Snoop was harshly rebuked by conservative blogs, and even 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio, who accused the rapper of creating an environment in which it’s acceptable to kill the president.
“Snoop shouldn’t have done that,” Rubio told TMZ on Monday. “You know, we’ve had presidents assassinated before in this country, so anything like that is really something that you should be very careful about.”
The old skool rapper defended himself amid the public backlash, saying “When I be putting shit out, I don’t ever expect or look for a reaction. Any time I drop something, I’m trying to fill in a void. I feel like it’s a lot of people making cool records, having fun, partying, but nobody’s dealing with the real issue with this fucking clown as president.”
