Missy Elliott, Lil’ Kim, & Da Brat Rehearse for Soul Train Awards

Missy Elliott, Lil' Kim, and Da Brat
The stage is set for ladies night. Missy Elliott, Lil’ Kim, and Da Brat landed in Las Vegas to rehearse for tonight’s Soul Train Awards 2014. The rap trio hit the stage for the first time in 17 years to perform their 1996 platinum single, “Not Tonight (Remix).” The last and only time they performed the song was at the 1997 MTV Video Music Awards.
“I’m just happy to see my friends again,” Kim told Hip Hollywood. “Missy Elliott is my sister. She’s a longterm friend and she’s someone that I love dearly.”
The performance is part of a tribute to Kool & the Gang, whose 1979 song “Ladies’ Night” they sampled. The track off the soundtrack to Nothing to Lose also features the late Lisa “Left Eye” Lopes and Angie Martinez, who will not be joining the trio.
The Soul Train Awards, which are also set to feature performances from Chris Brown, Jodeci, Ma$e, and Tamar Braxton, tape tonight and will air on Centric and BET on November 30 at 8 p.m.
Watch the ladies reunite in the rehearsal footage below.
