The Knowles-Carter clan convened in New Orleans on Saturday, May 17, after Beyonce Knowles‘s troubled little sister Solange Knowles went ballistic on Bey’s husband, aging rapper Jay Z in the elevator of a posh NYC hotel on May 5th. Beyonce with daughter Blue Ivy,
2, and Jay-Z were seen leaving Amelie Cafe in New Orleans, Louisiana
after having a family lunch together with Solange and her boyfriend Alan Ferguson, and their mother Tina Knowles.
This was the first time the Knowles-Carter family has been seen
together in public since the spectacular elevator brawl following the
Met Gala.
Friends say Jay Z, 44, is still traumatized by the violence inflicted
upon him by Solange, who was reportedly diagnosed with bipolar
disorder, ADHD and other mental problems.
Extra security was on hand to keep the peace. Beyonce’s bodyguard, Julius, (pictured above) stayed especially close to Solange while Jay Z was in New Orleans.
