Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o's star is fast rising after her
Hollywoood debut movie ’12 years a Slave’ alongside Hollywood superstars
like Brad Pitt.The Kenyan star yesterday bagged her first award at the
17th annual Hollywood Film Awards where she received the ‘New Hollywood Award’
for her stunning performance as a slave Patsey in ’12 years a
slave’.This is a great deal and a great achievement for Lupita who was
overwhelmed after receiving the coveted award. Keep in mind that the
same role has stirred an Oscar buzz for her where she is to be pitted
against world’s famous talk show host Oprah Winfrey and pretty woman
Julia Roberts.
Lupita flew Kenya’s flag very high and after being awarded she gave out a
very emotional speech that was one of the night’s favorites. Not only
is she a star but she is also humble and full of gratitude. Did I
mention she has classic fashion sense? Lupita yesterday dazzled again in
a yellow J Mendel Textured Viscose Sleeveless Column Gown with an
orange lip, and matching metallic clutch which was among the best of the
