Nonini: Hustler To Godfather

He is famed for his tracks that threw hin into, albeit controversial, stardom like Manzi wa Nairobi and We kamu in 2004 when his fans knew him as the small-framed and skinny Nonini. Many also remember him hawking CDs during concerts, hustling for every penny.
However, he recently declared the highest-paid artist in terms of royalties and long gone are the CDs- he was among the first to invest, and benefit, heavily from music downloads.
When the pay checks begun rolling in, so did the chubbiness, but in his defense, he did work on his style adopting a new look with fancy hats and fitting suits, completing his new image as Godfather of Genge.
