★ JAGWA ★
mchiriku
www.jagwamusic.net/jagwa-music
Jagwa is without a shadow of a doubt one of the biggest names on the international scene at the moment to come out of Tanzania. The group has rocked tens of thousands at big European festivals such as Roskilde and the west has dubbed their style "African Street Punk". It is a great honour for the Beat Festival to present this group as the headlining act, at the hight of their international career.

★ MZUNGU KICHAA ★
Bongo Flavawww.soundcloud.com/mzungukichaa
Mzungu Kichaa released his new release HUSTLE in December 2012. The release has received good reviews and has also been featured on radio stations in Europe and America. The new release features his first releases in English, yet still holds on to his unique interpretation of Bongo Flava. Mzungu Kichaa has not performed in Dar es Salaam for a while, due to tours elsewhere, including concerts in Kenya, Uganda and Europe. His appearance is a rare opportunity to catch Mzungu Kichaa on his homeground with his band Bongo Beat.

★ MANGWAIR ★
Bongo Flava / hiphopwww.myspace.com/ngwair
Ngwair took the industry by storm with his numerous collaborations and his hit single "Ghetto Langu". He went on to achieve many hits including "Mikasi", "She Got A Gwan" and his collaboration with Fid Q titled “CNN”. Mangwair is also a respected freestyle rapper and has worked extensively with P Funk at Bongo Records throughout his career.

★ POINT5 ★
freestyle hiphopwww.myspace.com/mcpoint5
Point 5 is lyricist and freestyle rapper from Tanzania who grew up in Sweden. His skills on the mic and his ability to freestyle to any type of music are comparable to the likes of the Roots. Point 5 has left a successful career in Sweden and will hopefully make his mark on the Tanzania hiphop scene too. Tongight he will be featuring and collaborating with Mangwair and Mzungu Kichaa together with The Beat Festivals house band Bongo Beat.
