Africa's most nominated artist in 2011 has done it again. Navio's new hit "KATA" is set to take African music to new levels. The percussion and raw African sounds which include live drumming, all come together with Navio's lyrics to provide East Africa with a new sound.
The song is about freedom and having "a blast" and the video shot on Red, shows exactly that. Word has it that the video is perhaps even more exciting than the sharks and cliff dives in his last video "One and Only".
Navio's new song "Kata" has also inspired a new dance, invented by the dancers in his video. After a soft release of the song in Europe, the new dance is already spreading out there as well. The song has the potential to be an African cross-over hit.
The video is already out playing on MTV Base but will officially drop tomorrow so we'll definitely put it up.
