Erykah Badu For the Next Tusker Lite Experience in Nairobi

Erykah Badu is coming to Nairobi, Kenya in the first week of December courtesy of Tusker Lite Experience . The Grammy-Award winning American artiste is due to perform at the cosy affair on December 11th 2012 at the Carnivore Grounds.

Badu is the fourth musician to be invited by Tusker Lite, one of Kenya’s newest beers, and the event will not be a concert but more of an intimate and cosy affair, in line with its brand strategy to drive brand performance.
Celebrating 1 year since the launch of the Tusker Lite Experience  of which the first performing artist was Dornell Jones

With Successful experiences with Donell Jones (December 2011), Joe Thomas (March 2012) and Johnny Gill (September 2012), Erykah Badu will showcase yet another spectacular show come 11th December 2012. More than 2,000 attended Joe’s concert at the Bomas of Kenya in early July 2012.
Erykah Badu, best known for her eccentric style and cerebral music, is a four-time GRAMMY® award winning American soul singer and songwriter.

Erykah is aptly named the “First Lady of Neo-Soul” or the “Queen of Neo-Soul”, Badu’s sound — a concoction of soul, hip-hop and jazz — cannot be contained to a single genre.
Self-described as a “mother first”, Badu is a touring artist, dj, teacher, community activist, holistic healer, doula, vegan, and conscious spirit.

“Erykah Badu isn’t easily forgotten. Whether for her attire (she wears African head wraps and ornate jewelry), her music or her personality, once you encounter Erykah, she stays with you. She first burst on the scene in 1997 with her debut album, a critical and commercial success called Baduizm. The album hit the No. 2 position on the Billboard Charts, the highest position ever for a first-time album.”
“For the queen of soul and R&B, producing music that stands the test of time is reward enough.”
