Mzungu Kichaa releases
new single,
African
Hustle,
featuring Kenya's
own Dela, which is the first single off his EP,
Hustle, which is set
to
be released
on 1st December. This
is the
first
of
a
long‐term
partnership
between
Tanzanian
Caravan
Records
& Kenya's
Penya
Africa. African Hustle
is a positive song about working hard with what you
have.
Mzungu Kichaa speaks fluent Kiswahili and wrote all his songs for his first album, Tuko Pamoja,
released in 2009. The album was a hit, getting nominated for Best World
Album at the Danish Music Awards. He also won Best Upcoming Artist at
the African Achievement Awards held in Copenhagen.
Mzungu Kichaa has been performing extensively
in East Africa and
met Dela during a visit to Nairobi. He later invited Dela to Dar es
Salaam to
perform at
the Beat Festival. That's when they recorded African Hustle at his Caravan Records.
The two are currently shooting
a video for the song in Nairobi, to
be released soon. Dela is
signed to Penya Africa
where
she
has
released
her debut album,
Paukwa. African Hustle
