mwaka huu utakuwa wa mwisho kwa kazi za wasanii kuibiwa-Dk Emmanuel Nchimbi

KITUO cha televisheni cha Africa Magic Swahili kimetangaza kumuomboleza msanii maarufu wa filamu Tanzania Steven Kanumba ambaye alifariki mwishoni mwa wiki iliyopita kwa kuanza kuonyesha filamu za msanii huyo kwa mwezi mzima kutokana na kifo chake ambacho kime washtua mashabiki filamu Tanzania na Afrika kwa ujumla.

Kama sehemu ya kumbukumbu ya kifo chake kituo hicho kitakuwa kikionyesha sinema zake kuanzia mwishoni mwa wiki hii kama zawadi kwa mchango wake katika tasnia ya filamu Afrika.

Kwa mujibu wa Meneja Uhusiano na mawasiliano kutoka Multichoice Tanzania Limited Bi Barbara Kambogi alisema kuwa mpango huo utaanza siku ya Jumamosi Aprili 14 saa 19:30 kwa saa za Afrika Mashariki (EAT) ambapo watazamaji wataanza kuangalia filamu ya Uncle JJ, na siku ya Jumapili Aprili 15 muda wa saa 20:00 EAT watangalia filamu ya This is it (sehemu ya 1 na 2).

Alisema kuwa siku ya Jumamosi Aprili 21 saa 19:30 EAT watazamaji wataangali sinema ya More than Pain na siku ya Jumapili Aprili 22 wataangalia filamu ya Young Billionaire (sehemu ya 1 na 2) ambapo filamu zingine zitaendelea kuonyeshwa siku zinazofuatia.

Akimzungumzia Kanumba kutokana na kipaji chake alichokuwa nacho, Mkurugenzi mtendaji wa M-Net Africa Bi Biola Alabi alisema, "Ni lazima tutambue nguvu kijana ambaye amekuwa akifanya vizuri katika tasnia hii. Kifo chake ni hasara kubwa kwa sekta ya burudani Afrika na sisi tunatoa rambirambi zetu kwa familia yake, marafiki na wapendwa wake. "

MSANII nyota wa filamu nchini, Steven Kanumba alifariki dunia siku ya Jumamosi usiku kutokana na tatizo la mtikisiko wa ubongo linalojulikana kitalaamu kama Brain Concussion, taarifa za kitabibu zimeeleza.

Taarifa hizo za ndani, zilizopatikana baada ya jopo la madaktari bingwa watano wa Hospitali ya Taifa Muhimbili kuufanyia uchunguzi mwili wa marehemu huyo, zimeeleza kuwa tatizo hilo linaweza kumfanya mtu apoteze maisha mara moja au baada ya siku kadhaa.


Dar es Salaam: Thousands of mourners yesterday were told to remember the late movie star, Steven Kanumba through living his hard working and sacrificing time and dedicating life for others.

Speaking during the public services at Leaders Club grounds, the coastal African Inland Church Bishop, Charles Salala said there was a need for every person to change the way of life and live according to God’s commandments.

He said the tens of thousands who attended Mr Kanumba’s burial was the testament that the movie star worked hard and left the legacy.

“It is obvious that Mr Kanumba was the man of the people, this crowd tells that his death marks a point to every one of us and therefore it is time for changing and learning to live the better way,” he said.

The bishop added that wananchi should emulate all positive things that Mr Kanumba did when he was alive.

“We should learn from, this is a challenge to us, and I believe we are all ready to take up arms and fight for his ideas,” said the Bishop.

The Minister for Information, Youth, Culture and Sports, Dr Emmanuel Nchimbi said Mr Kanumba was a bridge between artists and the government and that his ministry was already initiated efforts to make sure arts benefits are legally protected.

“We initiated talks on how to protect our arts works and Mr Kanumba was in the front line in this matter, I am very sorry that he could not live to benefit from what he struggled for, but I can ensure you that the government will make sure arts are getting what they deserve,” said Dr Nchimbi.

He added that in the coming fiscal year, his office will press for the budget and other important issues that will help to protect artists’ rights.

However, the Minister argued arts and other wananchi to learn good things from the late Kanumba and live his spirit of helping others.

He said: “Kanumba has left us with big challenge, he was a hard worker, creative and with helping heart , we need to learn from him, all these people are here to say goodbye to him because he was a nice person,”

The shadow Minister for Information, Youth, Culture and Sports, Mr Joseph Mbilinyi said the government should transform its sorrowful speeches at different arts funerals into actions that will help local artists to grow.

Mr Mbilinyi, who is also the Mbeya urban MP (Chadema) said arts were pleased with the government support but were eager to the authorities approving laws and setting principles that will help to protect and benefit artists in the country.

“We are asking the government leaders to support artists struggle by making sure there laws for fighting pirates,” said Mr Mbilinyi.

The President of Tanzania Film Federation (TAFF), Mr Simon Mwakifamba defined Mr Kanumba as an ambassador of Tanzania to different countries in the world.

He said Mr Kanumba was the real ‘great’ person who has managed to work with other famous artists in different countries in the world and that it was obvious his role was crucial in advertising the country and opening doors for other artists to try their luck elsewhere in the world.

Akizungumza jana jijini Dar es Salaam wakati akitoa salamu kwa niaba ya serikali katika mazishi ya Msanii wa maigizo na filamu Steven Kanumba alisema mchakato huo unaendela vizuri.

Dk Nchimbi alisema Wizara yake ikishirikiana na Wizara ya Fedha,Wizara ya Kazi na Ajira pamoja na Shirikisho la Filamu nchini (TAFF) wameshakutana na kujadiliana kuona ni jinsi gani watazuia kazi za wasanii ambazo zinaibiwa ovyo.

“Mwaka huu ndio mwisho wa kazi za wasanii kuibiwa na nilipenda sana kuona Kanumba akishuhudia jitihada hizi ambazo tumekuwa tukizifanya nae kama mdau mkubwa wa sekta hii” alisema Dk Nchimbi na kuongeza:

Jitihada ambazo amezifanya Kanumba enzi za uhai wake ni dhahiri imejionesha leo ambapo mumejitokeza kwa wingi kuja kumuaga hivyo wasanii munaobaki munatakiwa kuiga kile alichokuwa akikifanya.

Dk Nchimbi amewataka wasanii wote nchini kuungana kwa pamoja na kuacha migogoro ambayo haina msingi ili kuweza kufanya kazi na kufikia mahari ambapo panasitahiri.

Wakati huo huo Dk Nchimbi alitoa ubani wa Sh10 milioni zilizotolewa na Serikali ya Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania kwa familia ya Marehemu Kanumba.

Rais wa Shirikisho la Filamu(TAFF), Simon Mwakifwamba alisema Marehemu Kanumba ameacha pengo kubwa katika tasnia ya filamu kutokana na mchango wake mkubwa aliouonesha kwa kipindi kifupi cha muda wake wa uhai hapa duniani.

“Kanumba alikuwa balozi pekee wa filamu nchi za nje ambapo aliitangaza nchi yetu kwa tasnia ya filamu hivyo tutamkumba daima kwa kutuonehsa njia” alisema Mwakifwamba.

Mwakifwamba akielezea malengo ambayo Marehemu Kanumba alitaka TAFF ifanye ili kuboresha tasnia ya Filamu ni pamoja na kutetea na kulinda maslahi ya wasanii yanayoibiwa kila kukicha.

“Kanumba alitaka kuwepo na elimu ya kuwaelimisha wadau wote wa filamu kama ambavyo wenzetu wa nchi za nje wanavyofanya ili kuiboresha zaidi” alisema Hollywood Mwakifwamba.

Polisi wanena

Kamanda wa Polisi Kanda Maalumu ya Dar es Salaam Suleimani Kova alisema hali ya amani na usalama katika mchakato hio wa kuupuimzisha mwili wa mpendwa wetu Kanumba ipo shwari.

“Kweli Kanumba alikuwa mtu wa watu kwani umati huu unadhihirisha hilo na sisi tumejipanga kuhakikisha shughuri inakwenda vizuri” alisema.
