WHO IS NOOPJA?
NOOPJA, really name NDUWIMANA JEAN PAUL, is a Rwandan musician. He produced his first Album in 2009 after 3 years he recorded his first song “BIRABABAJE”. He is album IMFURA …NI ABAGABO (HEROES)concludes Hits like IMFURA,MURABEHO,ABANYARWANDAKAZI,UMURAGE,TUBAYE UMWE,KUKI WISHE ISEZERANO,UYU MUTINGITO,VIZA Y’URUKUNDO,MFITE INSHUTI,BIRABABAJE.
He was born in Rusizi District, western Province of Rwanda. At the age of 2, Their parents sent him at her Grand mother in kaembe. Her Father Daniel BARANZIRA and Mother MUKAMAZIMPAKA. He has 5 brohers and 1 sister. He grew up there beside her mothers in law who also played a big role In NOOPJA’s life. At the age of 7, NOOPJA returned to his parents to begin his studies. He studied primary School there. After winning primary School National Exams,NOOPJA went in secondary School at Ecole Secondaire de Tyazo where he passed 3 years. After winning also National exams,he ws permitted to attend Sections studies and he went to study in EAV Ntendezi in Biology and Chemistry.
At EAV,NOOPJA founded NECESSARY GENERATION CREW. Throuth the CREW he copmposed everal songs and won many National wide competitions. After getting his diploma,NOOPJA didn’t loose his time for nothing. He later,signed a contract with KILULU 9 PROSUCTION STUDIO in Rwanda and Produced his First Album IMFURA…NI ABAGABO. He worked with Producer Mastola and Patrick Buta Sly.
After recording his album,his songs like MURABEHO,IMFURA…NI ABAGABO,ABANYARWANDAKAZI….made him a Star. Every body song those tracks in the street…where ever. He also got a manager,Tijara Kabendera aka TK, the Top Radio Presenter in Rwanda. She also promoted the artist till level nine. In july 2009, NOOPJA launched his Album. He could do 2 concerts. The one in Kigali,the other one in Butare “Rwanda national University”.
At the events,he invited ALLY KIBA of TANZANIA to hel him launching his Album. His Kigali Concert felt and NOOPJA lose 11000US Dollars because of bad preparations. He also break relationiship with The Organisers ok that Concert. The second Concert could be done better if not it could be a double failure. He did better things in Butare where NOOPJA,ALLY KIBA and other local artists met.
Now,NOOPJA is woring on his second Kinyarwanda album”AMARIRA N’AMARASO” and he also works on other Swahili songs. He now put out his first Swahili song “NIKUBALIE”. The song was produced in Rwanda,dream recorsds, with Producer Naason.
NOOPJA is also an author of a Book “GO AHEAD! LETTER TO HIS EXCELLENCY Paul KAGAME,PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF RWANDA”. The Book is in 2 Versions: English and Kinyarwanda. Offically,It will be out soon.
He is preparing his other new Swahili hits and plaining to shoot the NIKUBALIE’s Video. He has contacted Adam Juma so that they can work together.
