Last Weekend Bobi Wine was introduced (Kuhingira) by his longtime girlfriend Barbara Itungoin a colorful function in Ntungamo. Music Uganda was there to cover the function. Now we wait for the big day.

Uganda's singer Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine is now a legally wedded husband. He married his long time fiancee Barbie Itungo in a colourful wedding at Rubaga Cathedral Church. The wedding was presided over by Archbishop Cyprian K. Lwanga. Among the celebrities who graced the occasion was Jose Chameleone and his wife Daniela,the Queen of Buganda Sylvia Nagginda and Prince Junjju. The wedding mass started at 10:00am and ended at about 1:00pm. In true celebrity style the wedding cost Ush 200.
The dress code was black and white, although the only black detail to Barbie’s attire was the exposed huge Bobi tattoo she recently etched on her back. She topped it off with impossibly high silver gladiator stilettos, with her groom resplendent in a white suit and a waistcoat that had a touch of black. The maids, led by maid of honour Joy Houlz (wife to producer Tony Houlz) wore white and red. Bobi’s brother Julius Walakira was his best man. During the Eucharist time, Chameleone wife Daniela took the holy communion as her hubby Jose, who technically is still Muslim, waited in the pews. “The church is not like ruins, which you enter and exit anyhow,” The Archbishop said in apparent reference to Chameleone’s recent converting to Islam and back to Catholicism.
Meanwhile outside the cathedral, Bobi’s fans and guests were busy pausing for photographs with the bridal entourage’s elaborate motorcade that also had a horse-drawn carriage. After the mass, it looked like all boda boda cyclists in Kampala had been invited, as they joined the Pinnacle Security bikes in the long convoy comprising two limousines, two Escalades, a Hummer, two BMWs, a Mercedes Benz Kompressor and a Toyota Prado. The reception was at Serena Hotel.
