Last night celebrity photographer Johnny Nunez hosted a launch party for New Era Cap Co. at their flagship store in NYC. See pics inside with his celebrity friends, plus celebs Blair Underwood, Essence Atkins, Tatyana Ali and others who got fab for an event in Hollywood.
Lots of pics when you read on...
Renowned celebrity photographer, Johnny Nunez, who is THE go-to photog for the biggest hip hop events in the industry, has teamed with New Era Cap Co., Inc., the international headwear and apparel giant, to launch a signature 59FIFTY cap. And we love when folks give back.
The very limited edition cap celebrates the influential work of the EYE CAN Foundation, a non-profit organization that works to improve the lives and opportunities of foster care youth and the visually impaired so they can see a better future.
Asked about the cap, Johnny said “I feel this event is historic and that we are doing something that has never been done before. I am creating fashion by incorporating Braille for the visually impaired and blind. I am honored to have this opportunity.”
Journalist Datwon Thomas and Kid Capri were in the house.
Johnny jumped in the booth with DJ Cassidy to get the party started.
Tichina Arnold rocked a fab fur. Looking good. Hope that mug is faux though....we know how PETA gets and they DON'T want it with Pam.
Then she posed with Liris Crosse, Johnny, and Kid Capri.
DJ M.O.S. was there.
And Rosci Diaz rep'd for the BET crowd.
NBA analyst Stuart Scott and tv personality Alesha Renee were there.
Later on, Ty Hunter (Beyonce's dresser/stylist) posed in a cap with Johnny at the party. The retail price for the cap is $60.00 and will be available at the NYC Flagship Store only while supplies last. Sweet.
And over on the west coast, the 10th Annual Heroes In The Struggle Gala was held last night at Avalon in Hollywood, CA.
The handsome Blair Underwood attended. I swear this dude doesn't age.
Kimberly Elise made an appearance. A strategic safety pin really would have come in handy.
Kenny Lattimore hit up the event.
Jesse Williams and these eyes...
Essence Atkins posed on the carpet.
Darrin Dewitt Henson was there too. Wonder if he's still doing choreography.
Magic Johnson brought along his wife, Cookie.
The "other" Vanessa Williams was golden. Loving this fresh cut of hers.
Actress Tracie Thoms came out to support.
And Tatyana Ali looked pretty. But I'm not feeling the shoe choice.
Hey Sinbad.
Actress Tasha Smith was there. Hair and makeup on point as always.
And tv commentator Roland Martin hit the carpet. These outfits of his....
Ooooh Loretta Loretta Loretta. This is all kinds of NO. You're too fab of an actress for this. And the ish has just been getting worse by the day. I call for a glam team intervention.
Lela Rochon looked great.
We love Kym Whitley...just not the glasses...or this dress.
