Celebs Glitz It Up For Kennedy Center Honors

It was Oprah's big night as she--and others like Beatle Paul McCartney and choreographer Bill T. Jones--received the prestigous Kennedy Center Honors Award in Washington D.C.

We've got pics of the glamorous O and her celebrity friends like Jennifer Hudson, Chris Rock, and President & First Lady Obama make their arrivals when you read on...

I see O is bringing Stedman out of the basement more often these days. Just kidding. Love when she has him by her side though.

She looked great last night. Even though I think she could have left out the corset belt.

President & First Lady Obama hosted the festivities. And POTUS played double duty as Oprah is one of his besties. So he also spoke on her behalf.

Mrs. Obama looked stunning in her scarlet and beaded gown.

Chris and Malaak Rock arrived for the event:

I'm not the biggest fan of facial hair, but it kinda works for Chris. I think. And Malaak looked beautiful in this royal blue ruffled hem strapless gown.

Past honoree Diana Ross made her silvery arrival like the diva that she is.

And she hit the red carpet with her son Evan Ross.

Former Secretary of State Colin Powell arrived with his wife.

Jennifer Hudson look svelte and sexy on the red carpet last night:

Both looks are simple and chic.

Tyrese Gibson made his arrival with Elaine Wynn (philanthropist ex-wife of hotel billionaire Steve Wynn).

Honoree Bill T. Jones hit the carpet with his partner Bjorn Amelan.

Holly Robinson Peete got bold in red last night.

And so did Oprah's other bestie Gayle King.

And embattled Representative Charles Rangal arrived to the event with his wife.

Oprah Winfrey, Beatle Paul McCartney, dancer-choreographer Bill T. Jones, country singer Merle Haggard and Broadway composer Jerry Herman each earned the arts awards not only for their talents, but also for bringing people together.
