PURPLE CARPET: 2010 Soul Train Music Award Arrivals

The 2010 Soul Train Music Awards went down Wednesday night in Atlanta. And the BK folks flocked to the purple carpet for their few minutes of shine. Hosts Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard kicked it on the carpet with Faith Evans and El Debarge. And other folks like Keisha Knight Pulliam, Melanie Fiona, Free, Chilli, Jazmine Sullivan, Ne-Yo, and plenty others all hit up the show.

We've got all 40+ arrival pics when you read on...

Taraji slapped onher red lipstick and this fitted black dress with detailed bra cups for the occasion. And her co-host and purple carpet date Terrence Howard worked it out in his 5 piece suit--complete with different plaid prints and a colorful tie. And it all worked.

Nice.

Chilli rocked this Herve Lege metallic bandaged dress with the matching arm sleeve along with some black pumps.. Same one J-Lo rocked about a year ago.

Chick knows how to get away with an almost bare face though.

Keshia Knight Pulliam got cute in this strapless green animal print mini dress.

Faith Evans donned this gold crinkled rouch gown. Not loving it (or that hair color) on her. She kicked it with stylist and Diddy's baby moms Misa Hylton.

And I see Faith and El were getting it in during the pre-show.

Mo and Kita rocked some interesting looks.

Dammit Derek J. This sheer metallic silver disco ball tee with this deep V neck....

D. Woods finally found an appropriate and cute dress for an occasion such as this. She looks nice.

SWV. I want to tap Coko on her shoulder and ask her if she knows she looks like Repunzel's cousin who lives on Crenshaw Blvd. with that hair. It's MUCH.

Melanie Fiona rocked a demure but fab off-white dress with some sheen for the occasion. Love that she's finally styling that mane of hers. She's looking great. And so is Goapele in all her floral goodness.

Ginuwine and Sole hit the event. I feel like Sole probably wore this exact outfit to the club last week. There's something not OK about that.

Free hit the carpet looking cute with Darrin Henson.

Dwele was there on the carpet.

Rick Ross and DJ Khaled kicked it.

Ne-Yo and his grey suit made an appearance.

Janelle Monae looked her usual.

Singer Ray Lavender was there.

Former NBA player Dikembe Mutombu and his wife Rose were there.

Cutie Jazzy Sullivan wore a long black sequin gown with a blazer.

Sigh. I'm just convinced at this point Deb Lee loves her teen daughter's closet. And there's nothing we can do about it.

Steve Harvey brought his gorgeous wife Marjorie along.

Loving Chrisette Michele's look. Totally glam with a mix of fashion edge with the sparkly turban.

Bilal was there.

And so was Biz Markie.

Oh hey Anita Baker.

Oh, double hey Freddie Jackson.

And newcomer Dondria rocked a metallic gold low cut mini dress with her sparkly black pumps.

And Eric Benet brought his woman as well.

The Soul Train Awards air on CENTRIC November 28th.
