Lil Wayne Gets Wishes From Former Pres. Clinton, Plans Big Coming Home Bash

Lil Wayne will be leaving prison tomorrow to be welcomed with wishes of good luck from former President Clinton and a big welcome home bash in Miami.

Deets ahead...

Former President Clinton did a radio interview yesterday where he was asked about what he thinks about Lil Wayne's pending release from prison. His answer gave some insight and well wishes to the rapper:

"I tell you what I think about that. I know this is kinda a funny question for you to ask me. My daughter introduced me to rap and hip-hop music, after I said somethings she thought were not very smart. She said 'dad you need to listen, a lot of these people are smart.' This guy's smart and he's got ability and he's got a new chance now," President Clinton said.

"I hope is that this is not something just to brand him as a cool guy, but that it will never happen again to him," Clinton said of Lil Wayne's time spent behind bars.

"A lot of these people they don't get successful in that, just like any area of life by being really dumb, they're really smart," Clinton continued. "But a lot of them have had really tough lives and they almost think it's cool to get in trouble every now and then or they don't know how to stay out. What I hope will happen is that he has a good life now."

Hopefully Weezy listens and doesn't pull a T.I. or Gucci and stays OUT this time around.

But after his release on Thursday (pending all things go well), party planning guru Colin Cowie has a huge royal-themed welcome home celebration planned in Miami for Weezy.

The party goes down on Sunday and will have hundreds of guests, including Cash Money Records CEO Bryan "Birdman" Williams, Drake, and Jay Sean. On the menu--kobe burgers and jumbo shrimp, truffled macaroni and cheese and rose champagne. Yum!
