Trey Songz made a promotional appearance on ‘The Mo’Nique Show’ last evening. The far from humble entertainer performed his current singles ‘Can’t Be Friends’ and ‘Bottoms Up’ from his ‘Passion, Pain & Pleasure’ album’.
Songz also took part in a short interview where he discussed how he managed to remain so “authentic” as an artist. Check out all the action below:
Didn’t Songz already admit that he started making more generic, sexually oriented music just to get a hit? I guess he has a completely different idea of what authenticity means.
Then again, he has been authentically copying R. Kelly in the last few years. He has been authentically singing off-key in almost every live performance of his newer material. Finally, let’s not forget how he has been authentically becoming more self-absorbed with each passing success.
