MUSIC NEWS: KANYE WEST REVEALS COVER ART

Kanye West reveals the cover for his brand new album, My Beautiful, Dark, Twisted Fantasy via his Twitter page over the weekend. However, don’t expect to see the graphic depiction, illustrated by George Condo, on shelves when the album drops, because Kanye also announced that the cover art has been banned in the United States.

Here’s what he had to say, on Twitter:

“Yo! they banned my album cover! I’ma tweet it in a few…

Banned in the USA! They don’t want me chilling on the couch with my phoenix! http://twitpic.com/2ykxjk

In the ’70’s, album covers had actual nudity… It’s so funny that people forget that… Everything has been so commercialized now. I know that cover just blew y’all minds… I wish y’all could see how hard I’m smiling right now!

In all honesty, I really don’t be thinking about Wal-Mart when I make my music or album covers. I wanna sell albums but not at the expense of my true creativity.”

Interesting, Kanye. So it’s going to be quite interesting to see what will be on the cover in the US when the album hit stores on November 22nd.
