R.Kelly To Release A Trilogy of Albums

Despite the scandals that have ensued throughout his career, R. Kelly definitely knows how to reinvent himself every time he decides to give you some new music. Whether you like him or not you have to respect that, his longevity, and that no matter what he always has a way to keep himself relevant in an everchanging music industry for almost 20 years now.

He’s currently gearing up to release a trilogy of albums (Epic, Love Letter, and Zodiac); which reminds me what happened to that second Maxwell album? OK back to Kels…all 3 albums are rumored to be dropping this year.

Epic will be the first album released from the trilogy on September 21st. It features four new and unreleased songs in addition to ”aspirational songs and timeless R. Kelly classics,” including “I Believe I Can Fly.”

Zodiac’s first single “Tongues” featuring Ludacris was released last month.

Love Letter’s first single “When A Woman Loves” was released last week.

Then this morning I wake up to “She Knows What She’s Doin’” featuring Rick Ross in my inbox.

Definitely feelin’ the “When A Woman Loves” joint for the Adult AC crowd. It’s the 2010 version of “When A Woman Fed Up” and is defintiely classic R. Kelly. “She Know What She’s Doin” is one of those records that shows you how much of a chameleon Kels is. At 43 he still knows how to put out a record that will have the kids boppin’ without it being forced or seeming as if he’s trying too hard. I’m feelin’ this joint too.
