Diddy on Judging American Idol: "Please, Can I Have The Job?"

Diddy's job is never done. The Bad Boy mogul has expressed extreme interest in replacing Simon Cowell as a judge on FOX's "American Idol" competition after he exits the program this season.

Though Diddy's name has been passed through the rumor mill as a Cowell replacement, Puff himself has never verbally expressed an interest in taking on the job. But after discovering Cowell's weekly salary, Diddy insisted on being considered for the position.

"I have been fronting all this time, trying to act like I don't want that spot," Puff said. "But I spoke to Simon's business manager, and I found out how much that boy makes a week. I am praying right now to 'American Idol,' ... I want everybody to get on Twitter, MySpace, Facebook and say that Diddy should get the Simon spot -- but for the same amount of money that Simon was getting, else it's a deal-breaker. I'm tired of being cool: That number that Simon was getting a week is ridiculous. I can't even be cool with that. Please, can I have the job, whoever's in charge of giving that job?"

In related news, Diddy is slated to perform during the 2010 BET Awards, which is scheduled to go down June 27, 2010 at 8 p.m. on BET. Directly afterward, Diddy and company will host the official award show after party.

Diddy's "Last Train To Paris" LP will be released on June 28 with guest appearances from Drake, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and many more.
