In just under a two week span, Jay-Z's Blueprint 3 Tour featuring Trey Songz and Jeezy earned a whopping $9,731,218 between March 11-24.
Billboard Magazine recently revealed the top 35 grossing concerts since the beginning of 2010 and Mr. Carter's 22-city excursion landed on the coveted list three times. In addition, the Blueprint 3 Tour was also named the highest grossing hip-hop tour of 2010.
"With everything else going on in his career, maybe he hadn't focused on tours as much as he could have," Faisel Durani, VP of touring for Live Nation, the event company behind BP3, said of the tour's success. But we always knew he was an amazing live artist and the kind of artist we could work with to get to where we needed to be on the live side."
Jay-Z is set to headline California’s Coachella music festival on Apr. 16 and will tackle several Japan and Europe dates this summer.
