"Don't Tell 'Em" singer Jeremih was just arrested at
Newark Liberty Airport in New Jersey.  And it's all due to alleged
foolish (and dangerous) behavior from his crew.  Deets inside...
NBC News reports that "Birthday Sex" singer Jeremih Felton
and members of his crew were arrested today for disorderly conduct and
obstruction of law, with one person being charged with "defiant
trespass".  And it's all thanks to one or more of the crew being late
for their flight.
Here's what we've also learned from our own source:
Jeremih and five members of his entourage were on their way to Phoenix on a USAirways-American flight from Newark.
As people know and as airport signs state, the jetway closes and
locks--permanently--10 minutes before every flight takes off for
security purposes.
Out of the six people in Jeremih's group, only five made it on the
jetway. One was left at the gate and he was supposedly told he would
have to wait for the next flight.
After the straggler called members of the group who are already on
the jetway, one of them OPENED THE DOOR to let the straggler in.  Bad
move.
All six people in the singer's group were removed from the flight.
Jeremih and one of his friends were arrested for disorderly conduct and
obstruction of law.
But, this isn't the only issue Jeremih has to face.  Thanks to him
(and members of his entourage) having a possible outstanding warrant for
their arrest, stemming from a November 5th incident at a Fuddruckers in
Billings, Montana, today's arrest just got a little more complicated.
On December 2nd, Lt. Kevin Iffland
of the Billings PD said that police investigators submitted a warrant
request to the city attorney's office on Nov. 28.  According to the Billings Gazette, the warrant for Jeremih accuses him of criminal mischief and disorderly conduct.
Iffland said no warrant had been issued as of that day and the
request had not been submitted to the courts.  But each offense carries a
maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.
Jeremih, who appears in new Beats By Dre & Nissan commercials, just performed a sold out show this week alongside French Montana at the Best Buy Theater in NYC.
